ABSTRACT: This is an interview with Pat Armstrong, author of The Double Ghetto. The focus of this conversation is Armstrong’s fight for universal Medicare. She claims that women will be impacted more negatively if healthcare in Canada becomes privatized. Noel discusses this issue with Armstrong, which results in the important insight that it is mostly women who are the caregivers, so healthcare is essential to them.
